Biography
Tracy Collier is an expert in financial inclusion and microfinance with experience managing and consulting on economic empowerment and poverty reduction programs across Australia and Latin America. Since 2013 she has worked for Good Shepherd Microfinance on a range of programs focusing on cross-sector collaboration and partnerships, including the Home Energy Saver Scheme Program and the Financial Inclusion Action Plan Program. She is currently working with the Good Shepherd International Foundation to provide technical support to their financial inclusion projects across Central America and sees first-hand the social and economic impact that high energy costs have on female micro entrepreneurs across the region.
Tracy brings together a diverse skill set having previously managed two small businesses in Oaxaca, Mexico, having taught English in Argentina and Chile and working as an interior designer in Argentina. She speaks fluent Spanish, has an Undergraduate degree in Business from Monash University and is currently completing a Masters degree in International Development at RMIT University with a thesis on women’s economic empowerment in Central America.
