Biography
Dr Roberto H. Esposto is a Senior Lecturer and Convenor of the Spanish and Latin American Studies Program at the School of Languages & Cultures. He is an expert in Argentine literature and Latin American critical thought. Due to his scholarship on Argentine literature and contributions to the study of Spanish language in Australia, in 2015 he was elected Corresponding Fellow of the Argentine Academy of Letters. He regularly gives seminars and conferences in South America, particularly in Argentina. Dr Roberto is the coordinator of the South-South Dialogues Conference on Epistemologies of the South at UQ, hosted this year in partnership with the Universidad Nacional Tres de Febrero in Buenos Aires. He has been the coordinator of the UQ Latin American Film Festival since 2006.
Dr Roberto is the author of the popular bestselling Lonely Planet Latin American Spanish Phrasebook and Dictionary, now in its 9th Edition (2018).
