Australia-Korea Foundation Grant 2023-24
The Australia-Korea Foundation seeks to strengthen the Australia-Korea relationship in ways that enhance mutual understanding and people-to-people links.

Global Partnerships provides Global Strategy Framework and Partner Engagement Strategy. The Global Strategy and Partnerships (GSP) team welcomes inquiries to identify potential partners in Korea.

Funding
- The estimated grant value is from $10,000 to $50,000 per year will be considered.
- Co-contributions from applicants and other parties strengthen an application and are encouraged.
- Grants cannot be used for the fixed or recurrent expenditure of your organisation, such as the cost of salary (including for research assistants or administrative staff) and management fees, which would be incurred irrespective of whether this project proceeds. This includes fees for using equipment, facilities and other costs that your organisation may charge you. Grants cannot be used to contribute to capital expenditures such as equipment or computer software.
How to Apply
Step 1: Completing the application
Australia-Korea Foundation 2023 Grant Guidelines are available from the DFAT website. All applications must be submitted by the applicant electronically using the SmartyGrants online application form.
The GSP team will provide a letter of support template, application cover sheet template to be completed by the applicant, brief UQ capacity statement and information on UQ’s engagement in the country of your application upon request. Please allow five days for the GSP team to process the letter of support. Letter of support will be issued after the signed cover sheet is received by the GSP team.
Step 2: GSP internal review and feedback
If you require a review from GSP on compliance and feedback, please email your application to the GSP team by 12 September.
Key dates
Apply directly to DFAT using the SmartyGrants online application form by 2pm AEST on 22 September 2023.
Email the Global Strategy Partnerships team to request a letter of support and to review your application for eligibility and compliance (if required) by COB 12 September 2023.
