QUEX Symposium 2020

3rd Annual QUEX International Symposium 2020

24 November - 08 December 2020

University of Exeter, UK

Join us for a showcase of the QUEX Institute with interactive sessions to discuss ideas and explore approaches/solutions to global and local challenges. This will be a valuable opportunity for the QUEX community to come together to share knowledge and present progress of QUEX-funded projects and initiatives. Symposium sessions will create space for academics, researchers, students and professional service staff to come together to discuss collaborative ideas and celebrate the success of the Institute to date.

Session 1 - QUEX PhD Programme

Tuesday 24 November, 08:00-10:00 (GMT) / 18:00-20:00 (AEST)

In session 1, we are given a unique opportunity to engage with and collectively support the wide range of high-quality, high-impact research projects of our active PhD students.

Session 2 - QUEX Success Stories and Future Funding Opportunities

Tuesday 1 December, 08:00-10:00 (GMT) / 18:00-20:00 (AEST)

In session 2, we celebrate some of our researcher success stories that have resulted from past QUEX support, while also seeking to explore the future of the funding landscape for international collaboration.

Session 3 - QUEX Futures

Tuesday 8 December, 08:00-10:00 (GMT) / 18:00-20:00 (AEST)

In session 3, we focus on the future of the QUEX Institute as we hear from both Vice-Chancellors (Prof Lisa Roberts & Prof Deborah Terry). Within our three new themes we will examine the opportunities and challenges ahead of us, as we work towards addressing some of the more significant challenges.

There will be opportunities for Q&A/panel sessions where participants are invited to submit questions for consideration by the organising committee.
