Ana Medrana

Ana Medrana is a licensed environmental planner and agriculturist from the Philippines. She obtained her Post-Graduate Diploma in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of the Philippines, Diliman, and her undergraduate degree in agriculture from the University of the Philippines, Los Baños.
Ana was a former civil servant in the Philippines. She worked as the planning officer of the National Anti-Poverty Commission in the Philippines for three years. Her responsibilities involved preparation of the agency’s budget and various documents for budget deliberations in both Houses of Congress. Apart from this, she conducted monitoring and evaluation of anti-poverty programs, activities and projects; and consolidated work and financial plans and action plans of the agency.
Prior to this, she served as the Development Management Officer and her scope of work is equivalent to a World Trade Organization Desk Officer of the Department of Agriculture (Philippines). She gained extensive experience in agricultural research work and policy analysis and formulation in line with local and international commitments useful for planning and program implementation.
