UQ-UZH Virtual Workshop - Biocatalysis and Green Chemistry
The University of Queensland (UQ) and the University of Zurich (UZH) are designing a strategic engagement framework that will inspire scientific leadership and nurture a partnership committed to the exchange of knowledge and the pursuit of scientific excellence. To build a strong research network and engagement across UQ and UZH, a series of academic workshops are planned to guide future collaborations.
The UQ-UZH Virtual Workshop ‘Biocatalysis and Green Chemistry’ will be held on Monday 2, Tuesday 3 and Monday 9 November 2020 (5-7pm AEST / 8-10am CET). This first workshop series will be dedicated to the area of Biocatalysis and Green Chemistry with a view to future workshops in the imaging and molecular spectroscopy and plant adaptation and biomass conversion areas coming together in 2021 under the umbrella of ‘Health, Food and Bioactives’.
Following completion of the virtual workshops, it is anticipated that UQ and UZH research groups will have identified and defined several potential project proposals for future development. The proposals will be developed during 2021 – 2023 and will be referenced in future strategic engagement plans due for completion in late November 2020.
