Open Global Opportunities

Under this programme, PhD students from outside Singapore will spend a minimum of one to a maximum of two years at A*STAR Research Institutes in Singapore under the joint supervision of the staff of the A*STAR Research Institutes and the overseas universities.
Always open for submissions.

This program offers the opportunity to recruit excellent professors from international partner universities for temporary teaching and research collaborations.

The next round of applications is expected to open in early 2025.

The Australian Academy of Science invites expressions of interest from junior scientists who are no more than 30 years of age at time of application, to visit the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the United States of America. Open to current PhD, final year master's or honours students.
Applications accepted 1 October through 31 January each year. The application for the 2025-26 academic year will open in September 2024.

The McDonnell International Scholars Academy fellowship program cultivates a community of culturally and academically diverse leaders who will address the world’s most complex challenges by driving positive and lasting change. McDonnell Scholars are selected based on their ability to emerge as leaders. Scholars are given a generous financial package to support their graduate and professional degree studies at Washington University in St. Louis.
Opens: June 2025

The QUEX program aims to recruit the very best students, to work across the University of Exeter and The University of Queensland, towards joint degrees. The scheme pays full fees and a stipend, as well as a generous training and travel fund.
There are two scholarship application rounds offered each year (one in each direction):
- Australia to USA: Open for application on January 1 to March 31.
- USA to Australia: Open for application on August 1 to September 30.

American Australian Association scholarships and grants provide support to the next generation of American, Native American, Australian and Indigenous Australian individuals to undertake transformational educational study, research and artistic development in each other’s country.
