Dr Risti Permani
Senior Lecturer in Agribusiness (Science)
Risti is passionate about promoting food security. She has led multiple international research and development projects and capacity-building programs to support the food and agriculture sectoral development ranging from international trade, global value chains, and digital transformation in agriculture to policy evaluation. Risti has also served as an Expert Reviewer to assess multiple international development projects related to food security in recognition of her expertise in project management, the monitoring and evaluation framework and impact pathway. She holds a PhD and Master in Economics from the University of Adelaide, and a Bachelor of Science in Statistics (minor in Agricultural Economics) from IPB University, Indonesia.
Ms Janine Chalmers
Development Coordinator, International Development
Ms Janine Chalmers brings extensive experience as a Project Coordinator. At UQ she has been involved in coordinating various development projects, including Australia Awards programs. She has worked on a variety of Australia Awards programs as Course Coordinator, including the Australia Awards Myanmar GEDSI Mainstreaming Short Course and has also provided support for other programs and advisory services, such as the Green Concrete Scoping Study in Vanuatu and the greater Pacific for the Australia Pacific Climate Partnership (DFAT) with the Sustainable Minerals Institute at UQ. In her time working at UQ International Development her work has focused on the delivery of a number of programs in the fields of Gender, Equity, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) and Sustainable Construction (Climate). She has extensive experience in the provision of high-level and culturally sensitive pastoral care and psychosocial support to culturally and linguistically diverse people through programs at UQ International Development and within her roles throughout Asia-Pacific.
Erin Lord-Lynch
Senior Project Office, School of the Environment (Science)
Erin is excited about the power of education for fostering sustainable and equitable change in global development. She has led various capacity-building projects focused on education and training in global development. Currently, she contributes to the Coral Reef Rescue project, working collaboratively with local partners to develop learning resources that integrate local knowledge with global best practices, aiming to strengthen coral reef conservation and coastal community resilience.
