(UQ Staff Only) Australia Awards Fellowships: Information Session
Join us to learn more about submitting an expression of interest for the Australia Awards Fellowships Round 20 applications.
This session will provided further information to UQ staff on the expression of interest processes, eligibility critera and selection assessment for application for an Australia Awards Fellowship program in Round 20.
Two sessions will be run before the EOI closes on Thursday 26 September.

Presenters
Vincent Sacriz
Senior Development Coordinator (Business Development & Engagement), International Development, UQ
Vincent is an international development specialist with almost 20 years of experience in the aid and development sector, with particular focus on business development. Prior to his role at UQ, he was the Development Manager for International Projects at the Queensland University of Technology. He has a proven track record in successfully securing numerous international development projects encompassing more than 25 countries in Asia, the Pacific, Africa, and South America. Vincent worked in 17 countries (Australia, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, Ghana, Indonesia, Laos, Maldives, Mongolia, Nepal, Philippines, Tanzania, and Thailand), all involving international development work through the delivery of capacity building programs and project management.
He negotiated more than 100 international and domestic partnerships through business development and program delivery in Australia and overseas and conducted several business development missions in Asia, the Pacific, and Africa. He collaborated with various government agencies, the private sector, and the civil society in Australia and overseas. Most of these collaborations involved stakeholder engagement and management. Vincent was also a consultant and capacity building specialist in a number of projects (mostly in monitoring, evaluation and learning) in the Philippines, Nepal, Maldives, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Mongolia, Tonga, Solomon Islands, Ghana and Tanzania.
David Kozar
Manager (Business Development & Engagement), International Development, UQ
David is recognised as a leading international development specialist with extensive experience working in the tertiary education sector.
Over the past decade, David has designed, developed and managed the delivery of more than 50 international aid and development projects primarily funded under the auspices of the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFAT) Aid Programs. Through these programs he has contributed to improving leadership capabilities, education and health outcomes, sustainable economic growth, peacebuilding, poverty reduction, disaster mitigation and response, and the improvement of gender, equality, disability and social inclusion all whilst strengthening people-to-people linkages across Asia, Africa, the Pacific, and South America. His international development expertise is often drawn upon by Australian and counterpart government agencies for the development of human capacity building and institutional strengthening program design and delivery.
