India's ambitious pledge to become a net-zero carbon emitter by 2070 aims to transform its rapidly growing economy into a global leader in clean energy. Similarly, Australia plans to achieve its net-zero target by 2050. Both countries face pressing needs for research innovations in transitioning from fossil fuels to renewable energy and significantly decarbonizing hard-to-abate industries to meet their net-zero emissions goals.
