Melissa brings more than 15 years of leadership experience across international development, climate finance, sustainability, government and the private sector. Most recently, she was based in Fiji as Global Co-Lead of the UN Capital Development Fund's (UNCDF) LoCAL+ program, a US$250 million global initiative supporting climate resilience finance in the Asia-Pacific region.

Prior to UNCDF, Melissa held senior roles in DFAT including in Fiji, Indonesia and Canberra, leading governance, climate change and development programs across the region. She also served as Manager, Sustainability at Ernst & Young, advising major Australian organisations on sustainability, ESG strategy and climate risk.
