BHP Billiton Australia China Scholarships
Opens mid February 2017

These Scholarships have been established to encourage and assist students and young professionals to pursue specialised study, research and experience in priority areas of interest in the bilateral Australia-China relationship. Applicants must have completed or be about to complete an undergraduate degree from an Australian or Chinese university and be planning to undertake postgraduate study at a Chinese university.

Westpac Future Leaders Scholarship
Opens mid-2017

The Westpac Future Leaders Scholarship supports exceptional individuals to undertake post-graduate study at one of Australia's leading universities. 

Scholars will be exceptional people, chosen for their potential to make a difference to Australia's future in one of our three focus areas:

  1. Technology and innovation
  2. Strengthening Australia-Asia ties
  3. Enabling positive social change

Valued at up to $120,000 over, typically, 2-3 years, scholarships will be awarded annually for research or coursework studies at graduate level.

New Colombo Plan Scholarship Program

The New Colombo Plan Scholarship Program is a prestigious scholarship scheme that provides an opportunity for high-achieving Australian undergraduate students to undertake study and work placements, for one or two semesters, in host locations across the Indo-Pacific region.

Menzies Research Scholarship in the Allied Health Sciences

This scheme is open to graduates in the Allied Health sciences who are enrolled as PhD candidates in an Australian university and who have completed the first stage of their doctoral program.

Menzies Scholarship in Engineering

The Menzies Foundation inspires and nurtures Australia’s future leaders. To be eligible, applicants must hold a first class honours degree or a Master of Engineering with a distinction average and be planning to continue their career in Australia on completion of their study.

The Menzies Foundation inspires and nurtures Australia’s future leaders. The Sir Robert Menzies Memorial Scholarship in Law is for post-graduate courses of study at UK universities, principally Oxford, Cambridge, London and Edinburgh.

The Rhodes Scholarships for Australia

Each year, there are nine Scholarships available in Australia to enable outstanding students — chosen on the basis of exceptional intellect, character, leadership, and commitment to service — to study at the University of Oxford.

TC Beirne School of Law World Bank Internship
Deadline 3 October 2016

The TC Beirne School of Law is seeking applications from Bachelor of Laws students for a two to three month Fellowship with the World Bank’s Special Litigation Unit under the Integrity Vice President (INT).

The successful student will be supported by a scholarship of USD$7,500 (approximately AUD$9,850) to meet travel and living expenses while the student works at the World Bank’s headquarters in Washington, DC.

Gates Cambridge Scholarship

The Gates Cambridge Scholarship programme was established in October 2000 by a donation of US$210m from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to the University of Cambridge. Scholarships are awarded to outstanding applicants from countries outside the UK to pursue a full-time postgraduate degree in any subject available at the University of Cambridge.
