Ashwin Sreekumar

Ashwin Sreekumar began his journey at The University of Queensland (UQ) as an international student, where he quickly emerged as a student leader. During his MBA, he served as President of the UQ Business School Postgraduate Association, received the Dean’s Commendation for Academic Excellence, and was honoured with the Service to the Community Award at UQ’s Top MBA Awards.

Today, Ashwin proudly serves his alma mater as Principal Advisor – Marketing, Strategy and Partnerships (South Asia, Middle East & Africa). With over a decade of experience in Australia’s banking industry, he brings a rare blend of corporate acumen and purpose-driven leadership to international education. He was also the inaugural Chair of the UQ India Alumni Network and a Finalist for Corporate Legend of the Year at the Australian Professionals of Colour Awards in 2024.

Ashwin is deeply passionate about building global bridges through education, and advocates for ethical internationalisation, equitable access to global learning, and meaningful institutional partnerships that drive long-term impact across the regions he serves.
