
Bantee Ejaz is an international development practitioner with extensive experience across Southeast Asia, South Asia, and the Pacific. He joined the University of Queensland’s International Development team in 2026, where he is responsible for delivering UQ’s international development projects and initiatives.
Prior to joining UQ, Bantee worked at the University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC) as an International Development Coordinator, where he managed DFAT and donor-funded short courses, training programs, fellowships, and other capacity-building initiatives. He also served as a Scholarship Liaison Officer, supporting the management and engagement of Australia Awards scholars. In addition, Bantee led business development efforts at UniSC, contributing to the preparation of competitive proposals and tenders for DFAT and other international development partners.
Bantee brings over 12 years of experience spanning international development, investment banking, project finance, financial policy, scientific research, and academia. He holds a Master’s degree in Fisheries Technology from Bangladesh Agricultural University and is passionate about advancing sustainable development outcomes and fostering partnerships that support long-term capacity building across the region
