The University of Queensland (UQ) in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IITD) and the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) will jointly host a workshop on Agricultural Technology, bringing together researchers to share knowledge and expertise in the areas of “Agricultural Produce Processing”, “Sensors and Automation”, “Agriculture Informatics”, and “Climate and weather forecasting and effects on crops”.

The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IITD) is one of the 23 IITs created to be Centres of Excellence for training, research and development in science, engineering and technology in India. It is an Institute of Eminence (EoI) declared by the University Grants Commission to support greater collaboration with global partners. UQ and IITD formed a strategic partnership in 2018 to establish the UQ-IITD Academy of Research (UQIDAR) focusing on joint PhD training and research outputs to deliver global impact.  
 
The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) is an autonomous organisation under the Department of Agricultural Research and Education, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India. The ICAR has its headquarters at New Delhi and is the apex body for co-ordinating, guiding and managing research and education in agriculture including horticulture, fisheries and animal sciences in the entire country. With 101 ICAR institutes and 71 agricultural universities spread across the country it is one of the largest national agricultural systems in the world. The ICAR has played a pioneering role in ushering Green Revolution and subsequent developments in agriculture in India.
