UQ hosted His Excellency Dr Thomas Fitschen, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Australia, at the St Lucia campus in April 2021 for his first visit to UQ.
The delegation met with members of UQ’s senior executive, as well as representatives from UQ faculties and institutes to discuss current engagement with Germany and highlight opportunities for future collaboration.
UQ’s current priority areas to explore with Germany include bioeconomy and sustainability; digital innovation and artificial intelligence; health and medical sciences; entrepreneurship and innovation; governance and policy; and aerospace and engineering
