Profile of Raja Juli Antoni, University of Queensland Alumnus who Becomes Deputy Minister of ATR/BPN

Raja Juli Antoni has just been inaugurated by President Joko Widodo. Raja was entrusted by President Joko Widodo to serve as Deputy Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (Wamen ATR/BPN).

The man who was born in Pekanbaru, July 13, 1977 is a politician of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI). He currently serves as Secretary of the PSI Board of Trustees.

Not many know, Raja is an alumnus of the Darul Arqam Muhammadiyah Islamic Boarding School, Garut, West Java.

In 2001, Raja Juli Antoni completed his education at IAIN Syarif Hidayatullah (UIN Jakarta). Raja graduated as a scholar of the Science of the Qur'an and Tafsir.

His master's education was taken at The Department of Peace Studies, Bradford University, England. Raja studied in England on a Chevening Award scholarship. He completed his education in 2004.

Raja Juli Antoni is a PhD holder from The University of Queensland, Australia. He pursued his doctoral studies after receiving a scholarship from the Australian Development Scholarship in 2010.

The position as Director of the Maarif Institute was once held by the former General Chair of the Muhammadiyah Student Association (IPM) for the 2000-2002 period.

Once a legislative candidate for the Indonesian House of Representatives from the IX West Java electoral district in 2009, Raja Juli Antoni became increasingly recognized when he founded PSI with other young politicians and served as Secretary General of PSI.
