Global Connect Scholarship - Semester 1, 2022 Orientation Session

• Introduce the Global Connect Scholarship cohort
• Introduce Sponsored Students team and how we manage the scholarship
• Brief overview of student visa conditions
• Program changes – how to request if required
• Academic reporting/terms and conditions to maintain scholarship including process of scholarship show case
• Extensions/interruptions
• Scholarship funding applied/managed
• How to get support and get involved at UQ – Student Services, Faculty, School, UQ events etc.
• Important dates as per academic calendar
• UQ Community COVID-19 advice, including isolation requirements
• Important contact details info (i.e. SSU/Student Services, Allianz Global).

Global Connect Scholarship Sem 1 2022 new commencement students will be invited and everyone is welcome to attend. For any enquiries on the orientation session, contact the Sponsored Students Unit. 

Note: Faculty of HASS and HABS will coordinate a separate Faculty led welcome programme for their Global Connect Scholarship students.
