- how to 'sell your manuscript' to the editor through a skilfully written cover letter

- what to do about peer review recommendations

Scott Macintyre is an open scholarship specialist with 25+ years of experience in the tertiary and education sector. He is skilled in teaching and delivering workshops to both local and international attendees and provides training on publishing processes to academics and post-graduate students. Scott has also been successful in establishing Communities of Practice to discuss the ever-evolving and dynamic developments in the field of scholarly publishing and their implications on the tertiary education sector. He brings enthusiasm and strong communication skills to the training, consultation, and advocacy of his role in open scholarship with UQ Library.
Anna Bagshaw has 20 + years of experience in the tertiary and education sector, in research roles in state government and the arts, and is currently also a part-time PhD candidate. Anna is a librarian in the Faculty Services Librarian team working alongside Scott in Scholarly Publishing and other teams in the UQ Library. She has personal experience in authorship and is skilled in teaching and delivering workshops on a range of topics from information literacy, scholarly publishing through to research impact to local and international attendees, academics and students. She is passionate about learning, teaching, and helping people learn and grow and has strong communication skills in training and consultation within the team at UQ Library.
