Collaboration in action

  • As a former national swimming champion and high-achieving student with an internship in a senator’s office already under this belt, Alex Williams exemplifies the title of ‘all-rounder’. The University of Queensland Bachelor of Arts/Laws student will add another impressive achievement to his CV this year, having recently arrived in Indonesia to begin a semester abroad at Universitas Indonesia (UI) under the New Colombo Plan Scholarship Program.
  • Seven University of Queensland undergraduates will study in destinations around the Indo‑Pacific region after being named as 2017 Fellows and scholars under the New Colombo Plan.
  • The University of Queensland has been awarded almost $1 million in the latest round of Federal Government New Colombo Plan mobility program funding.
  • University of Queensland student Rory Brown has recently taken part in an internship with the UQ Indonesia Office. He shares his experience below.
  • Urban and small island communities facing major social and environmental challenges will be the first to benefit from close to half a million dollars of joint investment by The University of Queensland and Indonesia’s national research organisation, the Indonesia Institute of Science (LIPI).
