- 20 November 2016Nicholas Amartey is a social entrepeneur with a passion for agriculture. He is passionate about the transformation of Africa's agricultural production, processing and marketing using the value chain management approach. he uses his knowledge and skills in agricultural value chain development, and entrepreneural spirit to inspire and empower smallholder farmers, young people, companies and organisations to initiate and attain growth.
- Titilayo D.O. Falade, a Nigerian student sponsored by the Australian Government’s Australia Awards scholarship program for her PhD research at the University of Queensland, was recently awarded the 2016 Lynsey Welsh Award for innovation in near infrared science.
- 20 November 2015The Managing Social and Environmental Impacts of Mining Africa Fellowship was delivered in 2014 under the Australia Awards in Africa program. UQID partnered with the Centre for Social Responsibility in Mining (CSRM) within the Sustainable Minerals Institute, for technical delivery into the seven-week course.
- The University of Queensland hosted diplomatic leaders from almost 70 countries at an Ambassadorial Reception and Dinner at the National Arboretum in Canberra last month.
