Biography
Zac Braxton-Smith is an early career researcher working in the fields of Australian and Argentine literary studies. Zac is currently completing a doctoral candidacy at The University of Queensland, where he is examining the similarities, differences and transnational links between literary nationalism in these two countries. He has previously written essays and presented papers on the idea of race in the writings of the Argentine politician D. F. Sarmiento, Borges and the Argentine tradition, Henry Lawson’s politics, and the links between bush poetry and gauchesque poetry. An Australian by birth, Zac has lived in the Cono Sur and returns most years.
