The UQ-VISTI Innovation Centre project, a collaboration between UQ Ventures and the Vietnam Institute of Science, Technology and Innovation, reflects this shared passion for harnessing innovation to create a better future.

Collaboration in action
- After a competitive selection process, 7 initiatives have been awarded funding totalling $100,000 for Round Two of the University of Queensland (UQ) Global Partnerships Funding Scheme in 2025.
- In a compelling example of international collaboration and strategic learning, Lao government officials have developed a comprehensive road safety reform plan for Vientiane Capital, following their participation in the Australia Awards Short Course in Strategic Analysis and Analytical Writing. Delivered by The University of Queensland (UQ) through its International Development unit, the course is part of the Australian Government’s Mekong-Australia Partnership initiative.
- Vietnam’s oral health sector is entering a new era of evidence-based reform with the launch of the National Oral Health Survey 2025–26.
- Australia Awards Scholars are selected to study in Australia as individuals but their work also assists the development of particular skills in their home countries.
- After a competitive selection process, 17 initiatives have been awarded funding totalling $217,174 for the second round of The University of Queensland (UQ) Global Partnerships Funding Scheme, launched in 2024.
- After a competitive selection process,12 initiatives have been awarded funding totalling $93,132 for the latest UQ Global Strategy and Partnerships Seed Funding Scheme (Round 2, 2023).
