Collaboration in action
- The University of Queensland (UQ) has taken another step towards deepening collaboration with one of Europe’s leading universities, with Vice-Chancellor and President Professor Peter Høj signing a joint PhD agreement with the Technical University of Munich (TUM).
- Nine collaborative research projects have been approved for $74,524 in funding in the first round of the 2018 UQ Global Strategy and Partnerships Seed Funding Scheme.
- The University of Queensland’s reputation for global student exchange has helped attract 62 Australia Awards – Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships for 2018, the most of any university in Australia.
- International academics, researchers, and government representatives recently met at The University of Queensland (UQ) to explore the role of biotechnology on future economies. Organised by UQ in collaboration with the Technical University of Munich (TUM), the Symposium reflected growing global interest in achieving a sustainable bioeconomy.
- More than 20 international students from The University of Queensland had their moment to shine at the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law’s International Scholarships Dinner.
- Eight collaborative research projects – ranging from chemical biotechnology, to health and archeological science – have been successful in the second round of the 2017 UQ Global Strategy and Partnerships Seed Funding Scheme.
