An Aboriginal writer who ‘gained a second chance at life’ following treatment for a rare cancer has become the first Indigenous recipient of the Fulbright W.G. Walker scholarship.
University of Queensland Medicine alumnus and startup entrepreneur Dr Zachary Tan has been chosen as one of 140 international scholars selected for the Schwarzman Scholars, a prestigious master’s program.
Undergraduates Jemima Kang and Kaelan Lockhart were yesterday named as fellows and Zachary Frazer, Han Tang and Anastasia Laczko as scholarship recipients under the Australian Government’s New Colombo Plan program.
