Accessing a future: returning home a leader in equal education for all

Botswanan student David Moatshe completed his Master of Educational Studies (Leadership) at UQ on an Australia Awards Scholarship. He completed his degree during a global pandemic, but comes away more resilient and ready to lead. On returning home, he plans to take up the new role of Leadership and Policy Development Coordinator in an institute that provides a four-year program for people 14 years or older with learning difficulties or disabilities.

UQ International Development delivered the Australian Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) funded Australia Awards Women in Executive Leadership Development Short Course (Bhutan) between June 2020 and May 2021.
